We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Management Trainee. The Management Trainee will work and train in various departments. The position will have a Post Secondary Degree requirement in Business, Accounting, Operations or a similar program; no prior experience required. Management Trainees gain knowledge and experience through an on-the-job training program. Trainees spend time in all areas of the facility gaining knowledge in the successful operation of all production, shipping, and procurement & planning. Upon successful completion of this program, a trainee will move into a role best suited to their abilities.

Responsibilities:
Production Floor Supervisory Rotation

Learns details of production floor in order to develop into a managerial role. Learns the specifications of each line, products and codes. Maximizes yields and proper cutting specs. Learns how to cut meat and tray products to customer specifications. Ensures the safety of employees according to JHSC, WCB regulations and Safety policies and procedures.
Production Planning Rotation

Yield Management and Tracking. Learns and understands production planning and updates as required. Cross trains with office staff to ensure coverage during times of leave. Understands trace-ability of products to ensure full accountability of products.
Purchasing And Shipping Rotation

Understands purchasing requirements in order to have supply for operations. Learns to manage perishable products; raw material supply management & finished goods management. Manages inventory levels in order to service customer fill rates. Understands shipping fill rates and on time deliveries. Understands dry goods supply purchasing based on usages and inventory levels.
Qualifications:

Completion of 4 a year Business or Accounting Degree. Outstanding organizational and MS office skills. Strong ethics regarding confidentiality and privacy. Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Organization - Prioritizes tasks in a fast paced, changing environment through frequent interruptions and changing deadlines. Communication - Shares information, seeks feedback from others, and provides appropriate follow-up to ensure understanding of both the message and its intent. Service Focus - Works effectively and co-operatively with all stakeholders to foster on-going mutual respect and trust. Accountability - Identifies implications and works to minimize any negative effects by developing contingencies or alternatives when commitments cannot be met and involves and/or alerts those affected. Collaboration - Works with others and builds effective relationships to accomplish common team goals and objectives. Problem Solving - Considers alternative solutions by weighing the potential risks and impact against the desired outcome.
