will report to the Director of Soccer and assist in delivering operational efficiency of the competitive programs and compliance within the organization.
The
Male Competitive Technical Lead
will be accountable for developing, implementing, monitoring and adapting the competitive program. This role will work closely with the Director of Soccer, Management and office staff to inspire and demonstrate a passion for continuous program improvement. As a key member of the leadership team, this role will be responsible for shaping the future the club by implementing innovative training programs, fostering a positive coaching culture, and identifying and nurturing talented players. Recognized for their technical expertise, the leader will provide professional guidance in alignment with Milton Magic FC's strategic goals.
Technical Leadership:
Implement comprehensive technical plans aligned with club goals and player pathway
Support and implement a clear and consistent technical vision for the club, emphasizing skill development and tactical awareness of each age group
Use designated club tool (i.e. PSP) to implement and deliver training sessions and support coaches with session planning.
Provide support to team(s) that do not have an assigned coach for the full season and work with the Director of Soccer as required to ensure coverage for all teams.
Plan and coordinate regular visits to review, participate and evaluate training sessions and weekly games.
Coach Development
Support the recruiting and mentorship of coaches, ensuring they adhere to club standards, volunteer screening, coaching certification, police checks, relevant policies and procedures and best practices
In collaboration with the Director of Soccer, conduct regular coaching education session to enhance their knowledge and skills (minimum 4 meetings with a combination of in class, on field*) Oversee the standard of training methodology and game model.
Provide ongoing support and feedback to coaches, fostering a collaborative and supportive coaching environment
Player Development
Working with other Technical Leads, identify and nurture talented players through a structured player development pathway.
Organize and oversee player evaluations to identify potential talent at all levels of play.
Collaborate with team coaches to create individualized development plans for promising players.
Ensure player awareness of game model, club values and DNA
Program Management:
Work collaboratively with the Operations Director to effectively schedule fields, training sessions, matches and tournaments.
Partner with Marketing, Operations Director and office staff to meet annual membership targets and 80% retention.
Proactively advise if age groups are not meeting targets and develop and effective plan to promote and target
Coordination and operation of the annual open trials with coaches
Oversee the timely delivery and tracking of offer and acceptance letters
Community Engagement:
Foster positive relationships with parents, players, coaches and the Board of Directors.
Provide support to coaches in conducting parent meetings to discuss the overall vison of the club and annual plan of the competitive team.
Promote the club's values and mission within the soccer community.
Build positive relationships with relevant governing bodies, schools, universities, and professional clubs to facilitate player pathways and opportunities for higher-level play.
Establishes, oversees, and sustains a continuous parental program aligned with Club philosophies and other relevant best practices to support their child's developmental journey.
Collaborates with the community to enhance the visibility of the Club brand and promote awareness of our diverse range of programs.
Operational Duties:
Prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of players, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to child protection.
Provide monthly reports to the Director of Soccer on the competitive program to meet reporting requirements of the Club's Board of Directors.
Actively participate and contribute to weekly technical meetings
Work with the Director of Soccer and Operations Director to understand and effectively manage the Competitive program budget
Complete all required certifications, licensing and upgrading of all online course as required for compliance with league and club standards.
Serve as the primary point of on-the-field contact during club-sponsored competitive events and camps.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a coach or Technical Lead with players of all levels from U5-U18
Possess a recognized coaching license; minimum C-license, or equivalent qualification
Strong playing ability for demonstration purposes
Deep understanding of soccer tactics, techniques and player development principles
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage coaches and players
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Passion for the game and commitment to a "player first" development plan
Clean and valid Criminal Record Check
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous program improvement and role modelling leadership and club values
Proven background as a professional, respectful, resourceful leader with a strong work ethic
Works collaboratively with peers, office staff and other stakeholders and seeks to inspire and motivate others to reach their potential

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
