Job Description

Delta Bingo and Gaming is looking for an outgoing, friendly individual to work as a cleaner and handy person. We are looking for a team player to go the extra mile for both our customers and fellow staff. Upholding all the proper policies and procedures of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. You must be able to obtain and retain an AGCO Gaming Licence (background check will be done by the AGCO).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Utilize the customized commercial cleaning checklist to perform all tasks to the standards. Dust furniture, equipment, partitions, walls, etc. Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, floors, toilet, mirrors, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves. Replenish supplies in restrooms, break rooms and kitchen. Sweep, mop, vacuum and vacuum Empty trash cans and recyclables into disposal areas Wipe down walls and woodwork, doors, wall hangings, baseboards, etc. Identify potential safety or maintenance issues and communicate them to client in the comments section on the customer checklist. Arrive at work at your scheduled time, perform services to established standards. Handle special requests for management as appropriate. Comply with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies and incident reporting. Some snow removal (Entrance ways)

Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented - pays attention to details, with extra attention to any special requests. Friendly and Professional Team player - ability to work within a team where members depend on each other to get work done. Self starter - able to identify work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed to do so. Desire to learn, seek new challenges and take on additional responsibilities. Reasoning ability. Good common sense with ability to solve practical problems. Able to preform a variety of maintenance duties, with skills adept in handling preventative maintenance, basic repairs, cosmetic upkeep and equipment installs. Ability to use power tool and commercial maintenance machinery. High School Diploma required. Experience in a cleaning service environment is preferred. Ability to speak and write English fluently and relay information between the team and office staff.

Work Environment

Physical demands include walking and standing, climbing, bending, kneeling to clean floors by hand, push and pull objects, lift and move objects up to and including 50lbs, repetitive bending and lifting, and repetitive arm movements. Ability to clime ladders and do minor repairs to the building as needed. Uniforms - Black shirt, pants and shows must be worn during work hours. Able to work outside in the summer and winter.
