Job summary



The Building Maintenance Worker will perform a variety of tasks including performing preventative maintenance and small repairs on our facility. Relevant technical training and 2 years experience including electrical, wiring, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is required.

Monday to Friday

11 am to 7:30 pm

Rate $ 20.00/hour

Reports to

: General Manager or designate

Duties and responsibilities



Perform minor plumbing repairs

Perform minor electrical repairs

Perform installation and/or repair of tiles or laminate flooring

Perform installation and/or repair of drywall

Perform painting jobs

Perform periodical inspections on equipment and building

Install and repair locks and door closures

Install and/or repair window screens and window fixtures

Assemble, disassemble and install equipment

Assess the functionality of safety systems and electrical systems

Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

Provide assistance to trade persons such as electricians, carpenters and plumbers

Carry out cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting Maintain outdoor areas, such as gardens and parking lots, including mowing the lawn, pruning shrubs, and removing snow or debris Manage waste disposal and recycling activities Assist in arranging special events in the premises
Perform other repairs and minor installations tasks as required

Prepare related paperwork and reports

Follow company's policies and procedures

Requirements and qualifications



Experience in property management

Experience in minor plumbing and electrical repairs

Experience in hand and electrical tools

Ability to read technical manuals and technical drawing

Organized, resourceful and able to follow a schedule

Attention to detail

Ability to work independently and multitask

Client-oriented and friendly

High school diploma or equivalent
