Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Person to join our team at Travelodge by Wyndham. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, contributing to the overall guest experience by maintaining a safe and functional environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive and skilled in various maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance tasks on hotel facilities and equipment.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests.
Conduct inspections of premises to identify issues or necessary repairs.
Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking maintenance activities.
Assist in the supervision of external contractors when necessary.
Maintain records of maintenance work performed and inventory of supplies.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with CMMS software is an asset.
Excellent customer service skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints for repair work.
Leadership experience is a plus but not required.

Education:
Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
basic plumbing, drywall patch and paint.: 1 year (required)
Light Electrical Work: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence (required)
WHMIS 2015 certificate (or willing to obtain within 30 days) (required)
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or equivalent pool ops course (preferred)
Standard First Aid/CPR (preferred)
