Job Overview



As a Maintenance Worker, you'll be responsible for general building repairs and maintenance to ensure our hotel remains safe, functional, and welcoming. You'll help keep our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities in excellent shape, supporting our commitment to exceptional service and comfort.

Duties and Responsibilities



Complete minor work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, filters, repairing plumbing fixtures, patching walls, and painting. Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. Monitor and ensure the efficient operation of equipment and systems, including HVAC, lighting, guest room access doors, and appliances. Assist with general plumbing and electrical repairs, and support kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance. Repair and refurbish guest room furniture and fixtures; paint and finish as needed. Maintain exterior areas, including front entrance, parking lot, and signage, ensuring cleanliness and safety. Replenish tools, supplies, and inventory as needed while minimizing waste. Follow all safety and security protocols, reporting unsafe conditions promptly. Respond courteously and efficiently to guest requests to ensure a positive experience. Collaborate with other departments to support hotel operations. Perform other duties as assigned in line with Marriott and company standards.

Qualifications and Requirements



Experience:

Minimum 1 year of general maintenance and repair experience required.

Education:

High school diploma or vocational training preferred.

Skills:

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, and general building systems. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

Physical Requirements:



+ Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
+ Able to stand, walk, kneel, climb, crawl, bend, and stoop for extended periods
+ Able to operate tools and equipment safely and effectively

Other Requirements:



Comfortable reading and writing for documentation and repair instructions Basic math skills * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
