The Benigno Group of Companies is an incorporated family business, locally owned and operated for over 40 years in HRM. Benigno Group specializes in residential and commercial property acquisition and management.

We are currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Worker. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday (rotating on call every 2nd weekend) and applicant must be capable of the following:

Performing maintenance and repairs to building, common area and vacant/tenant units Requests necessary materials, supplies, parts and tools required and maintains control of storage and use; General Carpentry and Repairs Painting and Drywall Minor Plumbing and Electrical Knowledge Landscaping: cutting grass, raking leaves, trimming hedges etc. General Property and Building Maintenance
Qualifications

Strong maintenance skills including, but not limited to: light plumbing, painting, drywall and light carpentry/construction projects, general repairs and maintenance. Previous experience in property management is an asset Ability to work as a team, and also under minimal supervision; 1-2 years previous construction, labour, or maintenance experience a requirement; Have a positive attitude Ability to follow instructions Reliable and punctual Rotate on call system Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed for emergency maintenance requests Valid driver's license Must be able to provide a clear criminal background check

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
