We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing facilities and equipment across various settings, including manufacturing plants, residential properties, and commercial facilities. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with excellent problem-solving skills. Candidates should possess relevant experience in facilities maintenance, welding, electrical work, and the ability to interpret schematics. Leadership and supervisory experience are a plus, as this role may involve overseeing junior staff or contractors. A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service is essential for success in this position.
Duties
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and building infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage automated systems efficiently.
Conduct welding repairs and fabrication as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
Execute residential painting projects when required, ensuring high-quality finishes.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including supervising team members or contractors.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities.
Support manufacturing operations by maintaining production equipment and minimizing downtime.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal teams or external clients regarding facility needs.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
Proficiency in electrical work, including experience with electrical systems and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
Skilled in welding techniques for repair and fabrication tasks.
Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control.
Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices across different environments--residential, commercial, or manufacturing.
Ability to perform residential painting with attention to detail.
Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
Supervising or leadership experience is advantageous for overseeing maintenance teams or projects.
