Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all facilities and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and operational environment for all staff and visitors.

Duties

Perform regular inspections and maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair various equipment and systems as needed. Conduct facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and inventory management. Fabricate parts or components as necessary to support repairs or improvements. Supervise maintenance staff when required, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues. Proficient in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Experience in facilities maintenance with a solid understanding of building systems. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with staff and management. Familiarity with CMMS software for efficient tracking of maintenance tasks. Supervisory skills to lead a team effectively when necessary. Capability to maintain equipment through regular servicing and repairs. Experience with fabricating parts or components using various tools and techniques. Knowledge of logic controllers for automated systems is a plus.
