We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team. At this time we are looking for someone to work 25-30 hours per week until the end of October. There is the possibility this position may extend into a permanent, year-round job.

The person in this role will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance/ repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our business. This will include setting up and removing our dance floors, setting up lighting and AV equipment for events, groundskeeping work, inspecting and cleaning our fleet of vehicles, performing inspections and repairs at our staff accommodation, and assisting with maintenance and repairs at Cornerstone theatre or our other venues.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performing set-up work at any of our 3 locations: setting up and removing our dance floor and setting up lighting for events.

-Groundskeeping duties at Cornerstone Theatre: mowing and trimming the grass, trimming hedges and trees, watering and caring for flowers, picking up garbage, sweeping the front entrance and parking lot, clearing steps and entrance of snow, spreading ice melter as needed.

-Inspecting and cleaning Cornerstone vehicles.

-Assisting with routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to drywall repairs, minor plumbing repairs, flooring repairs, painting, and changing light bulbs.

-Monthly staff accommodation inspections (including documenting these inspections), minor construction/carpentry projects, yard maintenance, battery replacement, and other maintenance items.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace, and upholding safety standards and documentation, including hazard assessments.

Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years of prior experience in a maintenance role or general maintenance experience.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.

-WHMIS certification (or the willingness to complete a WHMIS course).
- Some basic mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills would be beneficial, as well as having the ability to make minor plumbing repairs, drywall repairs, carpentry repairs.
- Must be physically capable to perform the tasks of the job, which involve standing for periods of time (up to 4 hours), bending, squatting, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50lbs. at a time.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
