Position Overview


The Maintenance Worker plays a critical role in ensuring that all hotel facilities remain in excellent condition. This individual is responsible for routine maintenance tasks, timely repairs, and upholding the property's safety, functionality, and appearance.

Key Responsibilities



Perform preventative maintenance, including guestroom inspections and minor repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and vinyl patching. Apply paint, stains, and protective coatings to walls, ceilings, furnishings, signage, parking lot areas, and other irregular surfaces. Maintain the hotel's exterior areas, including landscaping and snow removal. Inspect and perform minor repairs on electrical systems, including A/C controls, televisions, and lighting. Maintain electronic locks, telephone systems, and plumbing fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, and sinks. Conduct routine monitoring and testing of fire alarm and life safety systems. Repair and refurbish furniture and fixtures, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, and countertops. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they remain in proper working condition. Respond professionally and promptly to guest requests, concerns, and suggestions. Follow all company safety policies, reporting hazards or incidents immediately. Assist in developing and maintaining emergency procedures for fire, power failures, water/gas line issues, and severe weather events. Support inspectors, insurance representatives, and fire marshals during property inspections, ensuring accurate documentation is maintained. Coordinate and oversee contractor activities, ensuring adherence to safe work practices. Maintain detailed records of projects, tasks, and completed work. Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Competencies



High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 5 years of building maintenance experience (hotel or property management experience preferred). Experience with painting and plastering required. Background in electrical and/or plumbing trades is an asset. Valid driver's license required. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, maintenance manuals, and procedural documents. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prepare reports, maintain logs, and manage correspondence. Capable of working independently and as part of a team. Physically able to stand for extended periods, bend frequently, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
