Job Overview

We are seeking a maintenance worker who is responsible for maintaining and repairing residential and commercial properties to ensure they are safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing. The duties involve a wide range of tasks including but not limited to carpentry, drywall , minor plumbing .

Responsibilities

- general repairs. Performing a wide range of repairs on walls, floors, doors, windows and other building components.

-minor plumbing repairs. Repairs to leaks, toilet repairs, clogged drains, tap replacement and other basic plumbing repairs.

-carpentry. Performing minor carpentry work such as cabinets, shelves, doors and other related carpentry work.

- drywall. Patching holes, repairing drywall, installing drywall

-keeping accurate paperwork for all maintenance and repair work, work orders, materials used and expenses.

- customer service. Interacting politely and professionally with residents to address their concerns and ensure satisfaction with the work performed.

Qualifications

-

a good working knowledge of various repair and maintenance tasks

-ability to work with a wide range of hand and power tool

- strong problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Amherst, NS B4H 1X9
