Job Description

The Maintenance Technologist plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Maintenance Supervisor will develop maintenance schedules, manage resources effectively, and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime. By fostering a culture of proactive maintenance and continuous improvement, this role directly contributes to maximizing production uptime and operational efficiency. Ultimately, the Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all maintenance operations align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements, supporting the overall success of the manufacturing process.

Minimum Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in manufacturing environments. Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Preferred Qualifications:



Associate degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or related discipline. Certification in maintenance management or relevant technical certifications (e.g., OSHA, PLC programming). Experience working in a manufacturing environment with automated machinery and robotics. Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement and lean maintenance practices. Strong leadership training or coursework.

Responsibilities:



Supervise and lead the maintenance team, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and downtime. Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to support production schedules and operational needs. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment issues promptly and effectively. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance operations. Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation for equipment and repairs. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives. Manage maintenance inventory, including ordering and tracking parts and supplies. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and recommend solutions. Lead root cause analysis investigations for recurring equipment problems and implement corrective actions.
