Maintenance Technician IV

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician IV to join our Plant 1 Manufacturing team.

The Maintenance Technician IV is responsible for performing preventative maintenance according to existing schedules, troubleshoot equipment on malfunction and failure, do equipment repairs and modifications following workorders, do regular inspections of equipment, infrastructure (power, air, dust removal system, local heating and ventilation) and building. The Maintenance Technician IV is expected to create workorders on findings and record the work conducted in the relevant workorders.

The Ideal Candidate will bring a proven maintenance track record in a manufacturing setting and demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks in a multi-cultural workforce. The Ideal Candidate will bring knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical troubleshooting and repair of identified issues ability. The Ideal Candidate also communicates well and negotiates with operations the time windows to access the equipment.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Team Leader, the Maintenance Technician IV responsibilities will include:

  • Review work orders in the system
  • Prioritize work orders, complete them on time, record details of the work in the workorder and close workorder.
  • Do safety evaluations prior to performing any work
  • Coordinate timing with Production Supervisors to maintain productivity
  • Troubleshoot problems and failures on equipment - follow procedures and policies
  • Communicate issues and possible solutions - elevate to leadership for decision-finding
  • Assist project teams and/or Line Supervisors in executing projects related to production equipment and tooling
  • Work with minimal supervision and eventually delegate and supervise tasks
  • Professionally able and willing to work on electrically powered systems
  • Troubleshoot problems and failures on tooling and report to SME (engineering)
  • Repair existing tooling and communicate observations and improvement potential
  • Get familiar with production equipment on all production lines
  • Communicate observations and improvement potential on production equipment
  • Keep highest level of housekeeping on workplace and in parts warehouse.
  • Participate on inventory counts in parts warehouse.
  • Perform all the work according safely following all regulations, procedures, and best practices
  • Work on production line if required to build product components
Qualifications include:
  • Diploma and/or certification as a Journeyman Electrician or Journeyman Millwright
  • Courses related to maintenance troubleshooting and repair
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance (2 years in-house, 3 years in related industry)
  • Scheduling and maintenance planning experience
