Agropur has an immediate opening for a multi-talented Maintenance person to join our team in Salmon River, Nova Scotia. Our Maintenance team plays an integral role in the organization to ensure the reliability and sustainability of our plant and equipment.Duties:

• Install, dismantle, maintain, repair, and reassemble mechanical equipment
• Installing, repairing and optimizing electrical systems.
• Ensures compliance with established standards and legislation
• Able to maintain, troubleshoot and perform repairs to auxiliary equipment
• Ability and willingness to perform unscheduled and emergency repairs as required
• Maintain open communications and teamwork with plant personnel while achieving critical maintenance objectives
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to candidates who possess a classification of Industrial Electrician or Industrial Mechanic
• Strong skill and knowledge of mechanical and electrical trades
• Stainless Steel welding ability \xe2\x80\x93 TIG/Sanitary Welding
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Plumbing, Pipefitting and electrical experience considered an asset
