Job Responsibilities

As a

Maintenance Technician

, you'll report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and plant facilities.

Follow and promote the Health, Safety and Hygiene rules in the workplace Support the production line as needed, including process and machine diagnostics, repairs, troubleshooting, modifications, and other related tasks. Communicate effectively with operators and supervisors to improve our operational uptime and efficiency Perform maintenance activities on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and chemical delivery systems Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for preventive maintenance and work orders Contribute to preparations for general plant shutdowns; participate in execution, support demobilization and plant start-up activities of new product launches Participate in line installation, startup, improvements, parts purchasing Work with subcontractors, offering direction and problem-solving as needed

Education and Experience Required

Diploma in Automated Systems Electromechanics, Maintenance Technology, or related field 5+ years experience in an automated manufacturing environment Skilled trades certifications such as 309A, 442A, 433A, or 426A are assets, but not required

Key skills Required

Experience with electrical system troubleshooting Knowledge of Allen-Bradley RSlogix5000 programming is an asset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative team spirit. Knowledge of welding, assembly and machining Be autonomous, resourceful, rigorous and detail-oriented Ability to work safely under pressure
