Position Title:

Maintenance Technician

What the typical day looks like for the Maintenance Technician:

Perform inspections, adjustments and repairs on production and facilities equipment; Install, dismantle and overhaul machinery; Analyze mechanical problems and troubleshoot errors and breakdowns; Perform inspections, PMs and correct issues through workorder program in a timely manner; Operate machine tools including lathes, drills, grinders, saws, hand tools etc; Housekeeping of maintenance area; Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Relevant industrial experience required; 5+ years with hands on repair and maintenance of machinery in high volume manufacturing environment; Technical skills with experience working on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems; PLC knowledge and experience considered an asset; Ticketed skilled worker considered an asset; Strong knowledge of preventative/predictive maintenance schedules; Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure; Proven ability to lead a task or project as well as take direction from others.

301 Forest Avenue North

Continental Shift:

Straight Nights - 7:00pm to 7:00am. The successful candidate will be expected to work every other weekend.
