Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. John\xe2\x80\x99s Airport is looking for a Building Maintenance expert to join our operations team. The Maintenance Technician job is a key position within our company. This role will contribute to the overall success of the Hotel by providing superior customer service and attention to detail with preventative maintenance tasks and repairs, as well as overseeing our indoor heated pool. Responsibilities:
- Provides superior customer service while assisting guests with maintenance requests
- Follows established procedures and policies when completing tasks
- Keep all equipment in good repair by providing day to day maintenance through the hotel
- Complete maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
- Conduct daily walk through inspections of all areas of building
- Assisting with setup of meeting rooms (as needed)
- Cleaning, sanitizing and testing of indoor heated swimming pool
- Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC and boiler systems
- Communicate with other departments to update status of work and repair
- Other duties as required
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in similar position preferred
- Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or Mechanical certification an asset
- Class 4 Drivers License is an asset (will provide training and testing if necessary)
- Advanced communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
