Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on

Maintenance Mechanic

to support the ongoing reliability and performance of our manufacturing equipment. This role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems on extrusion, printing, laminating, and converting machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including extruders, slitters, laminators, and printing presses. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Minimize downtime by ensuring equipment is operating efficiently and safely. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities. Support health and safety initiatives by following company procedures and regulatory standards. Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet operational goals. Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing equipment maintenance. Experience in the flexible packaging or plastics industry is an asset. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Basic understanding of electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

Full-time, on-site role in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and occasional weekends, as required.
