JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a positive, skilled Maintenance Technician who is eager to help upkeep our amazing property. A Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. The range of pay is $20 - $22 an hour. Must be available evenings and weekends.

What will I be doing?

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility, including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space, pool and heart-of-the-house areas Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and drywall. Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention Testing and balancing water chemicals in pool and hot tub

Maintenance technician serving Hilton brands are always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or a similar varied work environment such as ships, hospitals or retail businesses

A certificate in Engineering, preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work without close supervision and within established timeframes

Strong work ethic

A passion for managing a variety of projects and tasks throughout the day

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
