Job Summary:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Mississauga. This is a permanent, full-time position created to support our current maintenance operations. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment to ensure smooth production operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical experience, particularly with

punch presses, roll formers, and assembly equipment

, in a manufacturing or industrial setting. This role also includes general plant maintenance tasks such as welding, using hand and power tools, forklift operation, and performing routine upkeep. The technician will work closely with the Supervisor and Production Manager to minimize downtime and support overall facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Repair and maintain production equipment, including: Punch presses Roll formers Assembly equipment Other plant machinery as needed Perform regular preventive maintenance Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform timely repairs Perform welding and operate a cutting torch as needed Use a wide range of hand and power tools Operate a forklift safely when required Maintain and organize plant equipment and facilities Collaborate with production staff to resolve equipment issues Maintain a safe and clean work environment Follow company safety procedures and protocols

Requirements:

Previous experience in a maintenance or mechanical role within a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience with mechanical repairs and equipment maintenance Skilled in welding, cutting torch use, and general tool handling Ability to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns efficiently Forklift experience and valid forklift license (or willingness to obtain) Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills Dependable and able to work independently when required Good communication skills

Working Conditions:

Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, depending on company needs. Physically active role in a production environment Occasional overtime depending on operational needs
