Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Cyclone Manufacturing Inc. in Mississauga. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance of our manufacturing equipment and facilities, contributing directly to our operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
:
Creates boxes for gaylords
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with Company procedures, and ISO regulations.
All other duties assigned by the Manager
Packs material for shipment
Daily utilizes forklift scizzorlifts, skyjacks, boom jacks, saw, ladders, and other power tools as required
Cleans floors and garbages
Shovels snow, mows the lawn
Moves skids, material, furniture, supplies, and equipment
Organizes shop, stores (Material above Deburring Dept.)
Fills CNC machines with oil, grease, coolant as required
Changes air filters on CNC Machines
Drives a Forklift
Completes all facility maintenance tasks as required including fixing plumbing, electrical, light fixtures, duct work, galbanized air pipes, etc.
Fixes components on Forklift machines
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests to other department Supervisors
Requirements
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
Familiarity with CNC machinery and logic controllers is a plus.
Ability to fabricate parts as needed for repairs or modifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills in English; both written and verbal.
