About the Role
We are hiring a Maintenance Technician (Millwright / Mechanic) to join our technical operations team. This hands-on position supports the maintenance, repair, and optimization of injection molding machines, packaging lines, and robotic systems in a fast-paced, food-safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine mechanical maintenance and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems
Maintain injection molding machines, robotics, conveyors, and automation lines
Support setup and changeovers for production runs
Perform preventative maintenance as per the PM schedule
Maintain clean and organized tools, mechanical room, and equipment records
Collaborate with production operators and supervisors to resolve downtime issues
Follow all Health & Safety, GMP, and food-grade sanitation standards
Electrical & Safety Responsibilities
Read and interpret electrical diagrams and Ontario Electrical Code specifications to support equipment layout and installation
Install, examine, replace, or repair wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other industrial electrical components
Maintain, repair, test, and install electric motors, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems for automation and packaging
Use proper lockout/tag-out (LOTO) procedures at all times, and never permit a machine to operate without proper guarding or when risk of injury exists
What We're Looking For
Licensed Millwright (433A) preferred, but experienced maintenance mechanics and automation troubleshooters are encouraged to apply
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (food or packaging industry preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with injection molding, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment is a plus
Electrical experience (120V systems, basic wiring) is an asset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible to support day/evening/weekend shift coverage as needed

Pay range: $32-$41/hour, based on experience and certification
