Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

Maintenance Technician

to support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment. This role involves working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems, as well as participating in preventative maintenance and repair activities to ensure safe and reliable operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, conveyors, fans, furnaces, generators, tanks) according to layout plans. Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment to perform machinery installation and setup. Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, forklifts, jacks, and scissor lifts to position and move equipment. Perform maintenance and repair work on

industrial shredders

, including blade changes, oil changes, and gearbox/pump servicing. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain

power transmission systems

, gearboxes, drive motors, and related components. Diagnose and repair

hydraulic and pneumatic systems

, including valves, cylinders, hoses, and pressure controls. Maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as

compressors, bailers, conveyors,

and furnaces. Support basic troubleshooting and adjustments on

PLC-controlled equipment

(no programming required). Maintain spare parts inventory, replacement components, and preventative maintenance documentation. Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to ensure timely repairs, upgrades, and equipment installations. Ensure work is performed in accordance with safety standards and operational best practices.

Qualifications:

4+ years of experience as a

Maintenance Technician / Millwright / Industrial Mechanic

in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Certified Industrial Millwright or Millwright Apprentice with at least 8,000 hours of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of

mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

. Experience working with

conveyors, gearboxes, motors, pumps

, and high-use industrial equipment. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and installation layouts. Comfortable operating cranes, forklifts, and lifting equipment (certifications are an asset). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
