And we are One Driving ForceTM.Plasman , Tilbury Manufacturing is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as:MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - ELECTRICIAN (Ticketed)Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician performs maintenance functions and assists fellow maintenance technicians as a team in the activities of the Maintenance Department.The duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Proactively complete maintenance work to include electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and general repair and maintenance of all equipment to maintain quality and production levels
  • Responsible for troubleshooting of equipment and miscellaneous downtime issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance of equipment within manufacturers specifications
  • Maintain the building by installing, repairing and performing preventative maintenance activities for the facility as required.
  • Fabricating or building items as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot and assist Paint / Robotics Department with all clean room related issues
  • Perform maintenance / cleaning on paint gun and all required components
  • Maintain Maintenance software program(s) or equivalent repair log
  • Promote an atmosphere of team work at all times
  • Recommend and participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Work in compliance with the Quality and Business Operating Systems and all health and safety and environmental legislation.
  • Completion of any other duties as assigned.
  • Abide by Company Value Statement and the Company Standard Code of Conduct
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must posses certification - Industrial Electrician
  • Candidates with a second ticket as Millwright is preferred
  • Must have strong knowledge and experience working with equipment and facilities maintenance,
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, electrical, mechanical and hydraulics.
  • Ability to work shift rotations and/or overtime with little or no prior notice.
  • Ability to perform well in high pressure situations.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills both written, verbal and computer (including Microsoft products - Excel, Word, Outlook).
MINIMUM EDUCATION/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those who have completed Maintenance diploma/certificate and/or hold a ticket in Industrial maintenance
  • Preference will be given to those candidates who hold a valid Industrial Electrician (442A), or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright Red Seal program) certification (as necessary for the required role)
  • Preference will be given to those candidates who have education in the areas of electrical, PLC, mechanical and hydraulics.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have at least a minimum of four years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment, with preference given to those who have knowledge and experience in the areas of PLC (ABB), Robotic (Fanuc/ABB), electrical, mechanical and hydraulics.
  • Experience with paint application is considered an asset
  • Must have the ability to be trained for the above-mentioned responsibilities and authorities

  • Ability to perform well in high pressure situations
  • Must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize and adjust work based on requirement
  • Meets expectation rating for relevant competencies.
