Mechanic / Maintenance Technician

to support our maintenance operations and ensure our equipment runs smoothly.

Job Summary:



As a

Mechanic / Maintenance Technician

, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery, conveyors, packaging equipment, and facility infrastructure. Diagnose and repair mechanical, and pneumatic issues on various equipment, including fillers, cappers, labelers, conveyors, and packaging machines. Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs. Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and regulatory standards (FSSC22000). Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS. Assist in equipment installation, modifications, and upgrades. Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Experience:



2-5 years

of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of PLCs and control systems is a plus. Experience in beverage/dairy industry is an asset. Knowledge of use of appropriate tools and spare parts for equipment Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Understanding of safety protocols, GMPs, and HACCP principles. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Ability to learn quickly.
