Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the Rosemead House. The ideal candidate will ensure the property, its amenities, and systems operate smoothly, providing guests with a safe, comfortable, and luxurious experience. This is a hands-on role requiring a self-sufficient professional with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Perform minor repairs and enhancements, including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and basic plumbing and electrical work. Address maintenance requests promptly to ensure minimal disruption to guests and operations. Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory to ensure readiness for daily tasks. Collaborate with the hotel team on larger-scale repairs and renovations, liaising with contractors when required. Provide basic landscaping maintenance such as lawn mowing, shrub pruning, seasonal planting. Uphold health and safety standards, ensuring a clean and hazard-free environment for guests and staff. Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed. Provide recommendations for maintenance budget planning and procurement.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in maintenance or handyman roles or landscaping, preferably in hospitality or a related field. Proficiency in general building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry, landscape maintenance Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Self-sufficient and capable of managing tasks independently while prioritizing effectively. Knowledge of workplace safety standards and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various environments. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
