StorageMart has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Tech person to join our team!!

Your Role: As a Maintenance Tech, you will:

Support Store Operations:

collaboration with Managers and Regional Managers to ensure safe and maintained stores by:

Trouble shooting front entrance gates - knowledge of basic gate technology required Take care of basic electrical and plumbing issues Some carpentry and building with metal Painting a variety of surfaces Provide grounds keeping and property cleaning Snow removal - shoveling and snow blowing Keep Regional Managers informed of any issues including but not limited to maintenance, safety, etc

Travel Between Locations:

Support 5 stores while maintaining our consistent standards across all sites.

What We're Looking For:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

One year's experience in maintenance in a commercial setting. Dependability is required. Basic computer experience. Must be able to read and write English (French in the province of Quebec)

Physical Requirements:

must be able to work inside and outside in temperature extremes, must be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and climb stairs as well as 10-foot ladder and be able to walk/stand up to 3 hours per day (approx. 1/3 of normal work shift), must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs. and have strength to routinely handle bolt cutters, grinder and power washer.

Detail Oriented:

Attention to detail needed.

Hands on Attitude:

Willingness to work outdoors and maintain grounds.

Requirements:

A valid driver's license, valid insurance, and basic computer skills. Truck preferred or vehicle large enough to move supplies and equipment
