Maintenance Technician / Caretaker

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for the overall upkeep and repair of our properties. Your tasks will include general building maintenance, lawn care, snow clearing, and optional on-call duties (on-call availability is considered an asset).

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general building maintenance and repairs (e.g., janitorial, painting, building walk throughs, water leak inspections, and fire inspections). Maintain outdoor spaces, including lawn mowing, trimming, and landscaping. Snow removal and ice control during winter months to ensure safe property conditions. Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively. Respond promptly to work orders and emergency maintenance requests. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

Qualifications:

Must possess a Class 5 drivers license and a vehicle. Previous experience in maintenance or related field an asset however not a requirement. Basic knowledge of tools and general repairs. Ability to safely operate lawn care equipment and snow removal tools. Ability to work independently or as a team and to prioritize tasks effectively. On-call availability is an asset.

Ability to do small drywall repairs would be a strong asset.
