Our client is a top performer in the snack food manufacturing industry and they\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an experienced Industrial Mechanic to support their state-of-the-art facility in Airdrie, Alberta! The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the food production equipment and facility to support production operations. Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair custom food production machinery.
• Diagnose issues and provide solutions for the mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and fulfill work order requests, developing an ongoing plan of action.
• Perform required welding by using MIG and TIG welding processes.
• Inventory management of all stocked supplies.
• Assist in organizing and cleaning the maintenance area and machine shop regularly.
• Complete work orders as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2 - 4 years of work experience in a similar role is required.
• Completion of post-secondary education in a related field.
• Some welding skills, MIG and TIG would be well-regarded.
• Must have machine shop experience and basic electrical skills.
• Must have good math skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Able to read drawings and schematics.
• Able to operate a forklift would be well-regarded.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Great communication skills, spoken and written.
