Maintenance Technician

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Take ownership of general building maintenance, including repairs, cleaning, organizing, basic plumbing, light construction, painting, seasonal needs including carpark needs, snow removal and garden maintenance
Track inventory and maintain consumable office and company supplies, including bathroom and gym supplies, sanitation, waste disposal, work tools, production tapes, materials and more
Complete monthly JOHSC inspections and report to JOHSC committee
Complete fire safety inspections with authorities, ensuring compliance
Maintain cleanliness and safety in all areas, including studios, common areas, storage spaces, and external premises; ensure proper cable management, and organization of equipment/instruments
Regularly inspect and maintain building systems (HVAC, lighting, electrical), flag and resolve issues, or coordinate with vendors as needed
Respond to building alarms or security matters, including after-hours support (when required), in coordination with external vendors -- paid at applicable rates, including overtime
Proactively manage internal office requests including desk moves, workspace setups and fitouts -- lifting, organizing, and arranging furniture or supplies as needed
Coordinate basic shipping, receiving, and distribution of prizes, giveaways, office supplies or materials.
Support company events by preparing rooms and spaces for meetings or gatherings
Independently support studio setup and teardown for production teams, including handling lights, cameras, set pieces, and other equipment
Construct paint and maintain basic panels and set pieces for production purpose, including single-sided wall flats, double-sided free-standing baffles, tubing, host desks and more
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)
Proficiency in the Google Suite of applications and digital communication
Ability to exhibit the Company's Core Values: Empathy, Passion, and Grit
Basic knowledge of general maintenance and safety practices
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in facilities, building support, janitorial, or maintenance roles
Excellent time management and initiative
Ability to work under pressure
Willingness to learn
Openness to be a First Aid Attendant
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis
