Repair or replace mechanical parts and equipment
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging and production equipment and regular work orders on equipment
Troubleshooting mechanical equipment
Welding repairs
Follow safety and lockout procedures
Knowledge of hydraulic systems
Must be able to multitask and prioritize their work load
Can repair and work on conveyors, industrial equipment, pumps, grinders, welding equipment, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems, packaging equipment and pneumatic equipment
Must be able to work in a team type environment
Full knowledge of hand and power tools
Installation of equipment
Carry out oral or printed work requests and apply corrective actions
Account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program
Must comply with all safety regulations, to provide a safe working environment for themselves and the workers in the plant
Minimize downtime while maintaining high safety and GMP standards
Keep detailed maintenance logs and documentation
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
Attend and participate in all maintenance planning
Qualifications:
Licensed 442A or 309A Industrial Electrician (Preferred but not necessary)
3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience (packaging or manufacturing preferred)
Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work shifts and overtime when required
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lb or over unassisted
