Position Description Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department, ensuring efficient operations while adhering to health and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of the Maintenance Department. Responsible for the immediate supervision, training, discipline, delegation of tasks, and performance evaluation of all maintenance personnel, ensuring that all procedures and safety practices are adhered to. Ensure that preventative and/or emergency maintenance is done (and recorded) on any equipment or machinery. Maintain safety regulations and plant operability as top priorities as maintenance duties take place. Responsible for all routine maintenance on plant equipment and facilities. Handles all mechanical and electrical problems that require outside contractors for repairs. Plan and prepare any fabrication and/or repair to facilities or process fixtures as requested including. Maintaining all production line equipment. Ordering material for repairs. Responsible for all aspects of supply receiving and equipment/plant asset inventory. Manage all aspects of new equipment installs and R&D projects related extrusion. Trouble shooting of electrical and mechanical equipment as required. Works closely with production personnel to determine the best approach for all activities in maintenance and surrounding activities that affect the quality and performance of production. Develop and Maintain Preventative Maintenance Program. Maintain all appropriate records. Maintain a level of quality consistent with established standards. Comply with established safety rules, company policy and procedures. Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and managers. Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy. Perform other duties assigned by the Plant Manager. Other duties as required.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum 7 years' experience as a Maintenance Supervisor. Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics. Must demonstrate competency in all Supervisor requirements. Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the Manufacturing/Warehousing industry. Knowledge of Microsoft Office an asset. Licensed Industrial Electrician / Licensed Millwright required. Knowledge of PLC controls Mechanical/Electrical knowledge of PVC extrusion equipment is preferred. Certified forklift driver/ working from heights / lock out, tag out an asset. Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and develop corrective measures for problems. Work well independently and provide leadership and motivation to the team to ensure they are working productively.
