Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The primary purpose of the Maintenance Supervisor position is to oversee and manage the maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring compliance with local and provincial safety regulations. This role is for an existing vacancy and is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of all equipment and infrastructure, while fostering a culture of safety.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.

Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.

2.

Recommend training and skills upgrading priorities for the skilled trades associates on the shift.

3.

Manage the administrative responsibilities related to the trades associate on shift (i.e.: timeclock and payroll verification, vacation coverage, weekday overtime co-ordination

4.

Develop and implement maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime

5.

Provide technical support for the skilled trades group where appropriate or obtain support from other staff (i.e.: Engineering, Technical Stores, Technical Services, etc.) or outside resources

6.

Manage the scheduling of skilled trade labour. Prepare weekday coverage plans and communicate to key associates in the factory.

7.

Ensure plant standards are met in the performance of planned maintenance. Make changes to PM tasks as necessary.

8.

Use CMMS system to co-ordinate planned work within the department. Ensure that all major breakdown and planned work is recorded in the CMMS system

9.

Co-operate with all other Manufacturing, Human Resources, Finance, Logistics, Safety and Quality Assurance colleagues in the performance of their duties to ensure optimal manufacturing results.

10.

Optimize maintenance resources to stay within the annual labour budget

11.

Lead and manage cross-functional project teams to deliver projects on time and within scope

12.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies

13.

Responsible for holding and tracking all factory keys.

14.

Cross functional Support including all other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:



Report to Maintenance and Engineering Manager

Knowledge of manufacturing principles; experience in analysis; and development of methods, standards, systems, procedures, plant layouts, and cost controls

Strong problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities as per project

Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented individual

Strong leadership, planning and multi-tasking skills

Technical: Must be able to be certified as a Powered Industrial Truck Operator, MS Word Excel PowerPoint Other Basic Basic Intermediate Aptean, MaintainX

Pay: $92,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
