Job Description

Position: Maintenance Superviser
Location: Laval
Salary : $75.000 to $78.000
Hours : From 6:30 AM. to 3:30 PM.
A very well-established and growing manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for their production facilities. In this role you will be reporting to the Maintenance Director and supervising a team of 7 electromechanics and growing. This is a dynamic work environment with a variety of production machinery and equipment where you will be overseeing the team and ensure timely repairs and maintenance of equipment and providing technical expertise in leading the team.
The following is an overview of the tasks:
- Supervising the maintenance, technicians and subcontractors to ensure timely repairs and maintenance of equipment
- Performing timely and regular audits of maintenance projects
- Maintaining performance standards of the team
- Planning and coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance
- Engaging service providers for special projects requiring assistance
- Organizing the schedules for repairs and maintenance
- Researching supplies and parts
- Completing purchase requests for needed parts and materials
- Providing technical expertise and insight to the team
- Other related tasks to ensure a well-supervised maintenance team
Qualifications:
- At least five years of experience in maintenance of production machinery with at least two years in a leadership role
- Formal education in electromechanics or a related discipline
- Strong technical skills in production equipment and machinery repairs
- Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external service providers
- Employment stability is considered an important value
- Aptitude for leadership, respectful, courteous, diplomatic and personable
