Are you seeking your next Maintenance/Production Supervisor role? Currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our partnered client located in Mississauga. This is an onsite opportunity working within a growing company with potential long term possibilities for growth. To be considered for the role; the Ideal candidate will hold 4+ years of supervisory experience within an manufacturing environment.

The Production Supervisor will be the first point of contact for internal employees and provide support to their team. The production supervisor will be responsible for employee relations, performance management, material planning, communication of goals and objectives and reporting of production results.

Duties:

\xc2\xb7 Assure manpower for day shift to assure flow within the facility

\xc2\xb7 Supervise performance of employees to assure productivity

\xc2\xb7 Lead by example to assure H&S best practises

\xc2\xb7 Assure production levels within plant

\xc2\xb7 Meeting and work with H&S and production team to assure a safe work environment

\xc2\xb7 Creating an environment within the facility that is welcoming promoting internal safety protocols

\xc2\xb7 Assure proper manpower within the facility to assure operational flow

\xc2\xb7 Training and development of new and existing team members

\xc2\xb7 Completing audits to assure compliance of facility workers

\xc2\xb7 Working with employees to assure compliance and H&S

\xc2\xb7 Ensure equipment and line integrity

\xc2\xb7 Preparing summary reports of production for management

\xc2\xb7 Be involved in any incident reporting

\xc2\xb7 Maintaining employee files for internal staff

\xc2\xb7 Conduct weekly meetings with staff

Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Time-and-Attendance Systems

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple tasks, projects and deadlines in a highly dynamic environment

\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills, and ability to provide constructive feedback to develop team members

\xc2\xb7 Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated high levels of judgment, initiative and results orientation

\xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other related software

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Six Sigma

Note: This is a day shift role starting off as a 12 month contract role
