Step into a pivotal leadership role as the Maintenance and Reliability Supervisor, where you'll be at the forefront of dynamic daily packaging operations. Imagine overseeing an advanced equipment line, championing product excellence, and driving regulatory compliance, all while boosting operational efficiency. Your impact will extend across Mechanical Services--planning, setup, delegation, maintenance, special projects, and hands-on team training--ensuring our machinery and systems perform at their peak. You'll be empowered to assess team skills, implement tailored training programs, and foster continuous technical growth. Collaboration is key: you'll work side-by-side with Production and Technical Services, contributing meaningfully to our business success and making a real difference every day.
More about your responsibilities:

  • Operations Leadership: Lead and coordinate daily operations and maintenance of assigned line to meet production schedules and performance targets.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee line setup, equipment changeovers, and cleaning, ensuring compliance with SOPs and cGMPs.
  • Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and coach your team to build technical proficiency, accountability, and engagement. Evaluate team capability in setup, troubleshooting, and equipment operation, supporting ongoing training and certification.
  • Training & Assessment: Develop and deliver training in maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and documentation practices; conduct regular skills assessments and maintain individual development plans.
  • Maintenance Planning: Plan and schedule Mechanical Services activities to minimize downtime and optimize maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose mechanical issues, lead troubleshooting, and coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in equipment upgrades and overhauls to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain job aids, standard work documentation, and compliance reports to support regulatory readiness.
  • Safety & Compliance: Champion a culture of safety and quality ensuring all team members follow safety procedures and equipment requirements.
What you'll bring

  • University Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certified Industrial Millwright or Electrician required.
  • 6+ years mechanical experience in packaging, manufacturing, or food environments; 3+ years in a leadership role (pharmaceutical packaging experience preferred).
  • Hands-on proficiency with mechanical assembly, machine repair, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; familiarity with PLC and CNC controls.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA guidelines, and pharmaceutical packaging equipment.
  • Experience in regulated environments (FDA, Health Canada).
  • Proficiency in maintenance documentation and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to perform physical activities.
  • Ability to rotate shifts every two weeks. Our shifts are, days (7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), afternoons (3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.), and nights (11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.).
