As a member of our leadership team, the Maintenance Supervisor will report directly to the Maintenance Superintendent. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a high-performing maintenance crew, providing safe and efficient services to the division.

You'll do:

Ensure a safe work environment for the Heavy Duty Maintenance department by enforcing safe work practices, supporting company policies, investigating incidents and ensuring proper training and adherence to maintenance best practices Work collaboratively with the Log Yard, Forklift, Kiln & energy and Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) departments to effectively maintain equipment Manage, schedule and supervise a crew, including work orders, priorities, shutdowns, and breakdowns Manage all maintenance aspects of capital and major projects, including the crane Work with Heavy Duty Mechanics to coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance programs Initiate maintenance expense and capital budgets and oversee all maintenance costs

You have:

A post-secondary degree in mechanical engineering OR a valid journeyman trade certificate, with preferably 5-8 years relevant work experience Strong leadership, planning, budgeting and troubleshooting skills Well-established organizational and project management skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Outstanding team player and team-building skills Excellent innovation and problem-solving skills Knowledge of computer software and applications The desire to progress, learn, grow and succeed Forestry industry experience is an asset
