We are looking for a
Maintenance Superintendent
to join our
Lavington Planer Mill Division
located in
Lavington, British Columbia
.Our Lavington Division is where Tolko's story began over 60 years ago. Today, at Lavington, we safely and sustainably produce
238 million board feet of lumber per year
for
customers around the world
so they can build their homes and their communities.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
Minimum of
5 years of leadership experience
.
Red Seal Certification
required; Millwright ticket preferred.
Post Secondary in Mechanical Engineering, bachelor's degree preferred.
Proven track record of sustained improvements in maintenance reliability.
Strong
planning, goal setting and project management skills
.
Proven team leader with strong people skills.
Excellent
interpersonal skills
, including strong
written and verbal communications
skills.
Excellent
problem solving and critical thinking
skills.
Demonstrated experience in
leading and managing change
.
Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems; preferably JD Edwards.
Knowledge of the development and implementation of effective safety programs.
Wood products manufacturing experience preferred.

In this role you will:

Be accountable for overall mill safety performance, including ensuring employees are trained, supported and coached in operating safety and in compliance with documented procedures, policies and regulations.
