The maintenance/reliability planner effectively supports day to day maintenance work plans and manages storeroom to ensure parts availability to meet plant equipment availability and spare parts demand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes.
Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work. Schedule maintenance work into production plan.
Maintaining, developing and entering machine and part data into computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or equivalent internal systems.
Preparing and issuing of maintenance work orders, as required.
Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality
Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and job records database.
Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of technical information on processes, plant and equipment.
Assist with project and shutdown scheduling.
Continually improving planning, scheduling, purchasing, stores, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency.
Able and competent in root cause failure analysis and investigations.
Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability and for storeroom efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure effective and standard storeroom practices are implemented and followed for Safety, Storeroom organization and management.
Ensure the purchase and availability of inventory necessary for repairs and operations.
Manage stores item procurement, inventory, invoices, and receipts.
Responsible for leading and executing the 5S activities to maintain the storeroom to standard.
Responsible for coordinating the shipping/receiving processes associated with equipment repairs.
Work on Capex projects.
Participate in Reliability improvement and modify existing drawings using AutoCAD. Store and maintain drawing of various assets in CMMS system or equivalent internal systems
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Drive a continuous improvement culture by instilling World Class Manufacturing methodology.
Actively participate in plant safety programs and maintain a knowledge and understanding of Process Safety Management and safety standards.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All other projects/duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Post-secondary Diploma.
Two to three (2-3) years of applied professional experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work independently in a busy environment
Read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English
Self-starter with developed analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail
Able to work well under pressure
Ability to travel to other countries for training as required
Strong commitment to safety.
PREFERRED OR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
College Diploma
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Computer Proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP, Kronos, and Microsoft Office
Preferred: experience in storeroom management
Demonstrated leadership and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve safety and productivity goals
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to initiate and implement change
Demonstrated ability to be highly motivated, self-directed who can work with limited daily supervision or instruction
Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma tools, or World Class Manufacturing, for business process improvement

WORKING CONDITIONS
Weekend and holiday work required at times. Occasional long hours. Environment may include exposure to noise, heat & dirt/dusty conditions. Heavy presence on the production floor is essential. Some airline/ground travel may be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Manufacturing Plant environment may require some climbing, lifting, traversing uneven terrain.
