  • Provide technical support for the mechanical maintenance of Upgrader, Refinery business units.
  • Trouble-shoot equipment performance issues, mechanical problems and equipment failures using Analytical Trouble Shooting (ATS) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
  • Develop technical specifications for maintenance repairs and replacements involving stationary and rotating equipment.
  • Provide technical support for capital improvement projects and equipment upgrades involving stationary and rotating equipment.
  • Recommend preventive maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability of critical plant equipment.
  • Support the Asset Integrity team by performing stationary equipment fitness for service assessments and development of repair strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer registered with APEGA or APEGS or completion of a Technologist\xe2\x80\x99s Diploma with ASET or SASTT designation.
  • 8+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a reliability or maintenance engineering role involving stationary and/or rotating equipment.
  • 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in a heavy industrial processing facility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with applicable stationary and /or rotating equipment codes and standards for design, inspection, and repairs is preferred.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with welding, weld procedures, and heat treatment. CWB Welding Inspector certification and experience with ASME Section IX will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with common materials utilized for stationary and rotating equipment in Upgrader and/or Refinery.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organization and time management skills
  • Valid Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
  • This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to the relevant requirements of a Drug and Alcohol policy which includes pre-assignment testing.
