YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for leading and managing the reliability engineering efforts for both the mining and milling operations at the site. Your primary focus will be on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and optimizing maintenance strategies to ensure continuous, efficient, and safe production. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.Promote a visible safety culture and ensure compliance with Agnico Eagle's HSE standards and Ontario Mining Regulations. Set the organization structure, staffing, and development plans for planners, schedulers, and reliability engineers. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across maintenance and operations teams. Own the 12-month rolling plan, 52-week schedule, and 3-month frozen window for both Mobile and Stationary assets. Lead the maintenance planning and scheduling team to produce high-quality job plans (SOPs, labor, durations, BOMs, permits, kitting/staging) and achieve weekly schedule compliance. Ensure strong CMMS discipline: accurate work order history, proper failure coding, backlog control, part reservations, and timely close-out. Coordinate with Operations, Mine & Mill Maintenance, Projects, Supply Chain and OEMs to align priorities, secure materials, and minimize downtime. Govern updates to standards, master data, and maintenance tactics through audits and continuous improvement. Develop and implement Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs for both mining and milling assets. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and bad actor elimination to address chronic equipment issues. Oversee predictive maintenance programs (oil analysis, vibration, thermography, NDT, ultrasound) and set alarm limits and reporting cadence. Implement condition-based monitoring technologies and analytics to enable early detection of potential failures. Approve new installations for maintainability and reliability; standardize components and preventive maintenance templates. Develop life-cycle strategies and equipment replacement plans; support AFEs and business cases for growth and sustaining Capex. Build and manage maintenance Opex budgets, forecast, track, and report performance versus plan. Establish and publish KPIs and dashboards (availability, utilization, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, schedule compliance, backlog, and maintenance cost). Support the planning and execution of capital projects, ensuring reliability and maintainability requirements are incorporated from design through commissioning. Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Mining Engineering (or equivalent experience). 8-12 years in mining maintenance with 4 or more years leading maintenance planning, scheduling and reliability teams within the mining industry. Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation is considered an asset. Expertise in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and root cause analysis (RCA). Proven CMMS experience (SAP PM/JDE), shutdown planning, and contractor/OEM management. Strong grasp of reliability methods (RCM/FMEA/RCA) and condition monitoring (oil, vibration, thermography). Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
