The Maintenance Planner is responsible for preparing assessment work packages, interfacing with customers to identify the full scope of the work, identify work hazards, materials and support groups relating to the work.

What will you be doing !

\xc2\xb7 Preparing Assessment Work Packages (Job Cards, IWP\xe2\x80\x99s, DWP\xe2\x80\x99s) as per Pro-339.

\xc2\xb7 Interfaces with customers to identify the full scope of work.

\xc2\xb7 Visit site and estimate work content for trades.

\xc2\xb7 Identify potential workplace hazards.

\xc2\xb7 Identify issues relating to jurisdictional requirements/codes.

\xc2\xb7 Identify materials and special tooling requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Interfacing with engineering for design and evaluation of work.

\xc2\xb7 Interface with other support groups for drawings, IRRs etc.

\xc2\xb7 Identify appropriate level of documentation and prepare corresponding work plan.

\xc2\xb7 Identify related procedures/manuals and appropriate references in work plan.

\xc2\xb7 Recommend substitutions for equipment or components.

\xc2\xb7 Procurement of Materials and Equipment.

\xc2\xb7 Estimate and procure materials.

\xc2\xb7 Prepare Purchase Requisitions.

\xc2\xb7 Monitor/expedite material ETAs.

\xc2\xb7 Interface with Planning Coordinators to ensure tasks are scheduled based on accurate ETA information.

\xc2\xb7 Performance will be assessed according to:

o Customer satisfaction

o Accuracy of estimates

o Response time/turnaround time of jobs

o Completeness/consistency and technical content of work packages

What we are looking for :

Successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship in one or more relevant industrial trades and a minimum of 2 years pertinent technical experience as a journeyman in the area of industrial maintenance or construction.

OR

\xc2\xb7 Graduation from an Institute of Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years experience in industrial maintenance or construction.

\xc2\xb7 Must be a self-starter and willing to promote new ideas with good problem solving skills.

\xc2\xb7 Must perform duties in a manner that promotes department and Nuclear Operations goals and objectives.

\xc2\xb7 Must communicate effectively with technical sections, Maintenance Planning Coordinators and work groups at all levels.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to provide constructive feedback and dialogue for the Work Management and Maintenance teams to ensure proper job status and take suitable actions for resolving conflicts.

\xc2\xb7 Must be competent in verbal and written communication skills.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to stay motivated and achieve the established goals and objectives.

\xc2\xb7 Must have a basic understanding of nuclear and conventional ASME and Canadian piping and pressure vessel codes, Canadian Building Codes, and (HVAC) Systems/Codes.

\xc2\xb7 Must possess a working knowledge of the current Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects for Ontario.

\xc2\xb7 Must have experience with selection process equipment relevant to CRL facilities and maintenance management practices.

\xc2\xb7 Must be familiar with business software such as E-mail, MS Word, MS Excel

\xc2\xb7 Must be willing to undergo additional training appropriate to the position, eg. Computer training, Quality Assurance, Applicable Codes, Team Building Skills.

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to understand and possess a working knowledge of the Work Management Software

\xc2\xb7 Must have an up-to-date working knowledge of all applicable company and general safety regulations and procedures

\xc2\xb7 Must have interpersonal skills

Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.
