White Point Beach is looking for a Maintenance Personnel to join our resort.

Must reside and be able to legally work in Canada

Located on Nova Scotia's picturesque South Shore, White Point is a quintessential beachfront holiday experience - all year round. The Main Lodge is the heart of the property - sprawling, yet cozy, with crackling wood fires and warm, maritime hospitality. This important leadership will be responsible for recruiting a large team, in a busy year-round operation.



Role Summary



Provide efficient service to internal & external guests.



Responsibilities


Providing efficient, attentive and friendly service to the guest
Adherence to established standards
Practices good customer and staff relations
Completes elements required of position as outlined in the Maintenance Personnel Training Outline
Provides services requested by guests and other departments within trained capabilities.
Reports to work on time and in full uniform
Follows established sign in/out procedures
Has complete knowledge of all equipment required to use
Knowledge of services offered in the hotel
Follows established standards
Maintenance and cleanliness of public areas
Maintenance and cleanliness equipment and storage spaces
Maintenance and organization of supplies
Prompt completion of requisitions
Greeting guests in a friendly manner
Other duties as assigned by management
Informs manager of guest comments promptly

WHMIS
Appearance and Grooming
Clean uniform

Preparation for Shift
Checks with supervisor for day's priorities
Checks requisitions for maintenance orders

In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor plans and supervises the activities of the other staff members in the department as required.


Public Spaces
Maintains cleanliness of grounds, parking areas, garbage receptacles
Storage spaces and hall ways kept clean and clear
Guest Room Services
Provides preventative maintenance services as per program schedule
Ensures walkways/stairways and all areas encountered are safe, clean and clear
Equipment
Ensures the state of the equipment is maintained through preventative maintenance and careful use
Protects the security of the equipment with proper and secure storage after use
Follows all safety procedures required to avoid any risk to person or equipment.

Working Conditions


Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling
Move over sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces
