THE COMPANY
Our client, one of the largest commercial REITS in Canada, is looking to bring on a temporary Maintenance Operator for a mixed portfolio in Winnipeg. The company's national portfolio consists of industrial, retail and office properties in both Canada and the USA.
THE ROLE
As Maintenance Operator, you will be responsible for performing operations, maintenance, and repairs to building systems including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and HVAC. You will use and interpret company operating and maintenance manuals to report on work performed. You will perform diagnostics on building equipment and systems not operating to compliant specifications and in turn applying the appropriate repair solutions. Oversight of subcontractor work and reporting on any issues to the Maintenance Supervisor will be required. As the position will involve liaising with building tenants on a regular basis, a strong customer focused orientation will be required.
WHAT'S REQUIRED
- High School Diploma with some technical training in Operations & Maintenance.
- 3 to 5 years related experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Preferred knowledge in at least one of the areas of HVAC, Control systems, Pluming or Electrical.
- Strong communication skills both oral and written.
- Must own a vehicle and have a valid driver's license.
