Apply your exceptional standards as Maintenance Office Coordinator (Seasonal), where you will implement and oversee our preventative maintenance programs in support of a safe and welcoming hotel for all colleagues, guests and visitors. Team leadership and effective delegation skills will be key to success in this role.

Working in a dynamic and ever challenging environment, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is looking for a leader who can support the maintenance and grounds teams and meet the needs of a historic property. Proven ability to build working relationships, results oriented, and natural problem solver are a few of the traits most suited to this position.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering/Assistant Director of Engineering, this position is responsible for assisting in and is not limited to:
  • Administering the Maintenance Department towards the attainment of hotel and department goals
  • Performing bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing, monitoring accounts receivable and budget tracking.
  • Maintaining schedules and corrections on Dayforce for payroll. Clearing and approving payroll on Dayforce.
  • To create purchase orders for bother operations & capital and tracking & recording of all POMEC expenses both in hard copy and soft copy
  • Participate and take a leading role in the property\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability committee to integrate environmental programs across the hotel.
  • Provide administrative support for sustainability programs including but not limited to data collection and reporting, event organization, record keeping, and communication
  • Facilitate Sustainability Orientation for new colleagues in the absence of the Director of Sustainability
  • Performing administrative duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing documents like office correspondence, memos, resumes, and presentations
  • Maintaining general office files, including job files, vendor files, and other files related to the company\xe2\x80\x99s operations.
  • Verifying and checking expenses at the end of each month
  • Carrying out admin duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing documents, including office correspondence, memos, resumes, and presentations.
  • Responsible for maintaining departmental health, safety, and WHMIS training programs, and thorough WCB compliance with the help of engineering team; and Hotel\'s emergency response team contacts.
  • Active participant in various Committees, and within Hotel operations at large.
  • The coordination and management of outside contractors for items such as elevators, refrigeration, waste disposal, etc.; sourcing of appropriate suppliers, preparation of purchase orders, facilitation of supplier negotiations.
  • Implementing and operating the hotel\'s CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), maintaining records of assets, and effectively managing them in the CMMS. Assigning work orders to tradespeople with management\'s assistance and presenting monthly reports on preventive maintenance (PM) and assets.
  • Required to be available for emergency response purposes.
Qualifications
  • Team player and team builder.
  • Minimum of 2 years\' supervisory/office management experience, preferably in the hospitality sector. Engineering/maintenance background is necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, results oriented with the ability to be flexible, and to work well under pressure, strong level of initiative required.
  • Must be computer literate and familiarization with computerized maintenance systems is an asset.
  • Hours of work and days off will vary according to business demands.
  • Experience in a unionized labor setting an asset.
