Lactalis is one of Canada's leading producers of premium quality food products including milk, cheese, cream cheese, and yogurt. We are currently recruiting for a Licensed Millwright to join our Maintenance Department in our manufacturing facility in

Mitchell

, which specializes in the production of cream cheese and other products.

Shift Description:

Full-time, permanent 8 hour shift 2 week rotation of Midnights, Afternoons, Days $42.02/hour plus shift premium of $6.10 with hours worked between 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Position Description:

The ideal candidate will be part of a team working in a three-shift rotation. This position will be responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of all plant equipment and facilities, processing equipment, high speed packaging equipment and ancillary equipment as well as assisting in the installation of new equipment.

Education and Work Experience:

The successful candidate must be a licensed millwright within Ontario, have the ability to learn and perform all aspects of the job, and possess three to five (3-5) years of in-depth experience in a plant setting with high speed packaging machines.

Skills:

Experience with plant utilities including HVAC, boiler, chiller and ammonia compressors would be considered an asset, Refrigeration B certificate is a definite asset, at least must be able to become certified within a year Strong preventative maintenance and troubleshooting ability Good communication skills, including written and verbal Ability to work independently and in a team environment Computer competence to work with a CMMS Hands on experience on highly automated packaging equipment would be considered an asset Experience with welding and pipe fitting would be considered an asset Ability to obtain their Lift Truck license
