About the Role

As a Maintenance Millwright at Haven Greens, you will play a hands-on role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of our greenhouse's mechanical systems. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring that our state-of-the-art systems--including HVAC, irrigation, and automation--run reliably and efficiently.

This position is ideal for a licensed or experienced millwright who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to an innovative operation that merges agriculture and advanced automation.

Key Responsibilities

Modify, install, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical systems, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and greenhouse automation equipment Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on mechanical failures to minimize equipment downtime Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance according to established schedules Assist with equipment changeovers, setups, and teardowns as needed Maintain accurate service logs and report equipment status and repair needs to the Maintenance Manager Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols, including Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Collaborate with other members of the maintenance and operations teams to ensure smooth coordination during breakdowns and maintenance activities Support the installation and commissioning of new mechanical systems and greenhouse infrastructure Recommend improvements to mechanical processes or system configurations to improve reliability and efficiency Support other maintenance-related tasks or projects as needed to meet the evolving needs of the facility and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Candidate Profile

Must-Haves:

3-5 years of hands-on experience as a millwright or industrial maintenance technician Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial equipment Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues Comfortable working with HVAC, irrigation, and greenhouse automation systems Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach

Nice-to-Haves:

443A Millwright license or equivalent Electrical training or experience (non-licensed work only) Experience in a Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), food processing, or greenhouse setting Familiarity with maintenance record keeping tools or CMMS software

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work in tight spaces for prolonged periods Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in temperature-controlled environments (~2C or 35F) May involve working at heights or in loud environments with appropriate PPE
