The position is a Full-Time and Permanent Position directly with the client
Pay Rate: Up to $38 per hour
Shift: Day Shift

JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for all troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance for all equipment and facilities including but not limited to CNC machines, Brake Presses, Punch Presses, Laser, Conveyors and Welding Equipment
JOB DUTIES:
- Performs installation, maintenance and repair activities on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic manufacturing equipment
- Dismantles and reassembles machines and carries out routine maintenance activities
- Performs trouble shooting using standard test equipment, detailed drawings, sketches, specifications, manuals or verbal instructions
- Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors according to layout plans using hand and power tools
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts and ability to operate manual and power hand tools, compressors, drills, sanders etc and to read measuring tape, feeler gage, calipers etc
- Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
- Maintain daily check list, good communicator, teamwork, little supervision, under
pressure and multitask
- Abide by OHSA regulations and company's policy and procedures pertaining to Lock Out/Tag out, completing work orders, etc.
- Advise Management of actions taken
- Licensed forklift, scissor lift and first aid and knowledge of Electrical Safety Code, OHSA, TSSA and WHMIS
- Industrial Mechanic Diploma or comparable or Millwright Licence
- Computer skills (PM Programs, Email, Word/Excel and Google an asset
