\xc2\xb7 Follow and document Mandatory Lock Out / Tag Out & Hot Works permits as per policies and procedures

\xc2\xb7 Operate a variety of tool room machines supporting the ongoing operation of the print plant using both manual and automated equipment

\xc2\xb7 Inspect and determine the nature of difficulties and malfunctioning equipment, then take necessary action to restore equipment to operating order

\xc2\xb7 Evaluate equipment failures for root cause, communicate findings, make suggestions for equipment improvements, and install modifications if needed

\xc2\xb7 Perform daily rounds of equipment and building to observe the operation. Using any tools at their disposal including listening to sounds to detect any unusual operations

\xc2\xb7 Follow preventive maintenance schedules, and procedures, recording all pertinent information such as work performed, parts used, measurements taken, recommendations etc.

\xc2\xb7 Use the Internal Maintenance Program to record information, determine work to be done, complete work orders and communicate and help coworkers troubleshoot all aspects of the production process

\xc2\xb7 Fabricate parts on shop equipment if needed to repair, upgrade, modify

\xc2\xb7 Modify equipment operation, parts, and techniques to improve efficiency

\xc2\xb7 Complete rebuilds on all equipment to manufacturer\'s specs

\xc2\xb7 Machine installation and/or moves as required including initial setup

\xc2\xb7 Help to maintain mechanical spare part inventory levels in the stock room. This includes communication with our purchasing clerk and all details possible written on his maintenance board to help him order parts

\xc2\xb7 Conduct 5S initiatives to ensure a neat environment (cleaning/organizing the maintenance zones)

When your expertise drives us.

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of working experience; (experience in a printing environment an asset)
• Ontario Mechanical Millwright license 433A
• Ability to understand Mech/Elec drawings & CAD Drawings\xc2\xb7
• Excellent knowledge of machines and their capacity
• Operation of precision machine shop equipment
• Knowledge of gas and arc welding
• Knowledge of the Internal Maintenance Program an asset
• Basic Computer Skills
• Flexible work hours as the workload dictates (40-42 hours per week determined by business needs)
• Being aware of and adhering to the safety policies and corporate procedures of the company; participating and meet the requirements of HSW training as per the Health and Safety Training Matrix
